Selahaddin Eyyubi is a historical Turkish series. The series depicts historical scenes of Selahaddin fighting the Ayyubid Crusade and conquering Jerusalem.
In the 12th century, when the Crusaders were invading and ravaging the Islamic world, unity and order among Muslims was disrupted and many Islamic lands, especially the holy city of Jerusalem, fell to the Crusaders.
Selahaddin Eyyubi fought for justice for the world, the freedom of Jerusalem, and was the chief of the Serhad Ghazis in the protection of the Zengi kingdom. He fought with the Crusaders.
Selahaddin Eyyubi was born in 1138 AD in Tikrit, Mosul Emirate. He was of Kurdish ethnicity. In 1163, his Zengi clan superior Nuruddin Zengi sent him to Fatimid Egypt. Saladin rose to the top of the Fatimid government through military success against Crusader attacks.
He had a close relationship with the Fatimid Caliph Al Adid. When his uncle Sherkoh died in 1169, Al Adid appointed Selahaddin as his vizier. It was rare for Muslims to be given such posts in the caliphate led by them. He was hostile to Fatimid rule during his viziership. He took power after Al Adid’s death and pledged allegiance to the Abbasid Caliphate in Baghdad.
He then launched an offensive against the Crusaders in Palestine, ordered a successful campaign of conquest in Yemen, and put down a Fatimid rebellion in Upper Egypt. The Knights Templar besieged the city of Tala Askalan in Jerusalem.
If Ascalan fell, Jerusalem would be strong. Then Selahaddin Eyyubi wanted to help the Askalans to prevent it. But there was one big problem: the Askalani were enemies of the Zengid. Because of this, Salahuddin was not allowed to the Rajya Sabha. Still, Salahuddin went to help the people of Askalan despite the council’s decision.
In the midst of this fierce battle, a love affair developed between Salahuddin and Suraiya, the daughter of the emir of Askalan. But in this war, both of them are on the enemy side. Will the spark of love ignite in their hearts or will this war deepen the enmity? Will Salahuddin be able to save Askalan and achieve his goal? Will he be punished for disobeying the orders of the state and the Sultan to go to Askalan? more
